An eight-day leadership retreat for founders and senior women leaders, built to give you more capacity, sharper clarity, and a room of peers who lead at your altitude.
The world you lead in is faster, more complex, and higher-stakes than it was when you started. The leaders who keep rising through it aren't the ones working more hours, they're the ones who keep building capacity: clearer on their strengths, steadier under pressure, better at deciding what to carry and what to put down.
That's what Higher Ground is for. Eight days, far enough away to think clearly, to build the capacity the next stage of your leadership actually asks for, and to come home with a plan you genuinely want to lead toward.
Not a holiday. Not a course you'll forget by Monday. A method, in one of the most beautiful places to do this work.
This is real leadership-capacity work. Across the eight days you build the things that change how you lead once you're home.
Your strengths and your own leadership style, named, claimed, and deliberate rather than default.
Your why articulated, and a thirty-second answer to "who are you" you'll use for years.
Clear on what to stop carrying, delegate, or let go, and practised in the room before you walk home with them.
A working understanding of how you fuel and recover, so you lead at a higher level without depleting.
The quiet certainty to lead without second-guessing yourself.
The role, remit, or seat you've been circling, and the clarity and nerve to claim it.
Using your Strength Profile results and story-led work in small groups, you separate what's genuinely yours from what you built to get through, so the way you lead from here draws on what fuels you, not what drains you.
You want to grow the people around you, and you want to do it well. That capacity has to come from somewhere, and it runs down faster than most leaders admit, especially through the years when the demands are highest.
Eight days that produce a lovely feeling and nothing else aren't worth the investment. Eight days that change something you can name and use are worth many times over. So it's built to hold:
The setting isn't decoration. It's part of how the work actually works.
You can't step out of your patterns while you're standing in the room those patterns were built in. The moment the emails stop reaching you, the meetings can't find you, and no one needs a decision in the next ten minutes, something loosens. You're not managing anymore, you're finally present. That distance is the first thing the retreat gives you, and almost nothing about the work lands without it.
The hardest realisations rarely arrive across a table. They arrive on a walk through the countryside, on the water, with your shoulders down and your hands busy, when your body relaxes enough for your mind to go somewhere real. Hoi An gives us that: quiet countryside, coastline, ancient sites, slow mornings. We use it deliberately. The recognition work happens differently side-by-side on a path than it ever would in a hotel function room, and it stays, because you learned it in your body, not just your notebook.
Structured sessions give the work its rigour, your strengths, your plan, your voice, measured before and after. Being outside gives it room to land. And the shared experience of it, a boat, a meal, a long walk with a woman who leads at your level, is what turns a group of strangers into a room you trust. That combination of rigour, place, and real connection is what most programs miss. It's why the insight doesn't evaporate on the flight home.
Anyone can hand you a framework. What's hard is building capacity that holds once you're back in the noise. It holds when it's learned somewhere your whole self was present, where the idea is tied to a place, a conversation, a moment you can still feel weeks later. That's what eight days here is designed to do: not give you a good week, but change how you lead once the week is over.
An applied psychologist and a sitting CEO, holding the room together. Most leadership retreats are run by people who've studied leadership but not lived it, or lived it but not studied it. Here, we're both.
All-inclusive once you arrive in Hoi An. You bring yourself and a flight.
You lead at a senior level. Founder, executive, partner, or the person a whole organisation quietly runs through. You’ve built something real, and others point to it.
You’re the one everyone comes to. Steady in every room, the person others lean on. You’ve also noticed that almost nothing in your week refuels the person doing the leading.
You’ve done development before. Courses, coaching, the program with the binder. Some of it was good. Very little of it was built for someone with your experience already in the room.
You’ve been running on what got you here. Work harder, hold more, be the reliable one. It works, that’s the problem. And the time to step back and think keeps getting deferred to a quieter season that never arrives.
You’re ready to invest in yourself the way you’ve always invested in everyone else. Not someday. This time.
This is structured and documented as a professional leadership-development program, named competencies, a written agenda, pre- and post-assessment, and a completion certificate. This can be put through as a PD expense. If you need any documentation let us know, we are happy to provide.
Payment: A $1,500 deposit secures your place. The balance is split across two payments, 60 and 30 days before departure. Payment plans available on request. Founding-cohort places are limited to 12 and offered on a first-confirmed basis.
Same recognition work, closer to home, for women whose lives don't yet allow eight days in Vietnam. Same method, smaller commitment, different cohort.
Tell us a little about you and what's drawing you here, and we'll be in touch to arrange a 30-minute call.
